7 Aug 2026 - National Wheelchair Basketball Matches in Melbourne this Weekend!

From Friday 7 of August until Sunday 9 of August the 5th round of the National Wheelchair Basketball League is planned. The sixth round of the Men's National Wheelchair Basketball League takes place from Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9, 2026.
In these final pool matches of 2026, the Manly Wheel Eagles and the Wollongong Roller Hawks, both from New South Wales, will face each other. In Melbourne, the Victoria Marvels team will receive the Perth Wheelcats, and the Red Dust Heelers team will host the Southern Spartans from Brisbane.
On Friday, August 7, both teams will play their matches in Melbourne at 7 PM. On Saturday, August 8, the Red Dust Heelers team will play their second match against the Southern Spartans at 4 PM, and the Victoria Marvels team will play their second match at 8 PM.
On Sunday, August 9, the team from Brisbane will be in action for the last time against the Red Dust Heelers at 11 AM, and at 1 PM, the Victoria Marvels will play their final match against the Perth Wheelcats. Victoria Marvels' games will take place at the Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre in Greensborough, VIC (44 Civic Drive), while Red Dust Heelers' games will be held at Narrandjeri Basketball Stadium in Thornbury, VIC (281 Darebin Road).
WOMEN
The final games of the Women's National Wheelchair Basketball League will also be played in their fifth and final round.

THE FINALS
The 2026 National Wheelchair Basketball League finals will be played on the weekend of August 21 to 23. This year, the venue for the final games is the Victorian State Basketball Centre - 291 George Street in Wantirna, VIC.
It appears that the women's teams of Sydney Blues, Victoria Wonders, Sydney Uni Lions, and the Perth Wheelcats will play the final games. Among the men, the Wollongong Roller Hawks, Manly Wheel Eagles, Red Dust Heelers, and Perth Wheelcats teams have the best chance of playing in the finals. More about this on this website soon.
