10 Aug 2026 - The 2030 Commonwealth Games will once again feature various Parasports on the Program

The 2026 Commonwealth Games concluded in Glasgow on Sunday, August 2, 2026, following the start on July 23, 2026. With a total of 171 medals (70-45-56), Australia won the most medals in Glasgow. Unlike the Paralympic Games and other major sporting events, the Commonwealth Games parasport program is fully integrated.

This means that there is no separate event or ticket for parasport disciplines, and that a medal won by a para-athlete counts towards a country's medal standings in exactly the same way as for an able-bodied athlete.

The next Commonwealth Games will take place in 2030 in Amhedabad, India, also known as Amdavad. It will be the second time the Commonwealth Games will be held in India. In 2010, they took place in New Delhi.

The official core sports and their integrated Paralympic disciplines announced for the 2030 Olympic Games are:

• Para-Athletics (linked to athletics)

• Para-Swimming (linked to swimming)

• Para-table tennis (linked to table tennis)

• Para-bowling (linked to bowling)

• Para-powerlifting (linked to weightlifting)

Some sports that were active in Glasgow, such as 3x3 wheelchair basketball and para-cycling, are currently still under consideration. The final list of a total of 15 to 17 sports is still being compiled, and additional disciplines are still being actively explored. Para-badminton, para-archery, and para-shooting have a chance to participate in 2030.
