Sitting Volleyball Australia (SVAUS)

Bringing sitting volleyball to the attention of a wider audience in Australia is the main goal of this project. By giving presentations and demonstrations we will try to let people know more about the sport sitting volleyball and to encourage more people to participate in training sessions.

We will start in Melbourne and subsequently, we will work step by step on expanding sitting volleyball with events and to other states.

In 2026, we will begin starting sitting volleyball training at four locations spread across Melbourne. One of these locations that is already known is in Maroondah. As soon as more information is available about the other locations, we will publish it on this website.

The sitting volleyball training sessions are free to enter for everybody who wants to know more about this sport. People with or without a disability can play sitting volleyball. The most important point of attention for playing sitting volleyball is that you can sit down on the floor independently and, preferably, perform movements.

Attention will also be given to training sitting volleyball coaches and referees. The organisation of sitting volleyball matches will take place in late 2026/early 2027.
