16 September 2026 - Parasport Support Website Launch

In response to the many requests we have received over the years, we are once again actively committed to supporting adaptive sports. Our goal is to promote Paralympic sports and increase their visibility for everyone, and there is still so much to be done. Today, we are officially launching our website. Hello, everybody. My name is John. I'm the founder of Parasports Support. I'm here together with Lucas and Rene. And I want to tell you a little bit more about our not for profit organization, Parasport Support, which is based in Melbourne, Australia.

My personal experience with Paralympic sports started in 2006, when I became the head coach of the national sitting volleyball team of the Netherlands. For 2 years I was active in that role, and after that I was also supporting some Paralympic Committees and gave advice to other sports in the way of training and promoting. Until 2014, I was traveling all around the world, mostly in African countries and countries in Europe.

After 2014, I stopped travelling around and I was having more focus on research, mostly in the way sports organisations, national sports organisations, and international sports organisations were communicating and promoting their sport.

After 2014, I was more focusing on the way the communication and promotion was done by the national and international sports organisations. And my personal opinion was that it could be better. There was a gap and more could be done.

And now in 2026, after 20 years involvement in Paralympic sports, the communication and promotion still can be improved. And that's why Passport Support started.

And that's why we built a brand new website parasportsupport.com.au

This is our home page. And as you can see we have different pages. We have a news page where we have already posted some news items.

We have a page with events, upcoming events so that everybody knows where to go.

As part of Parasports Support, we also made some projects, just a few as a start.
