4 August 2026 - World Paravolley Announced the Last Paralympic Qualification Sitting Volleyball Tournament 2028
The Australian national sitting volleyball team knows what it needs to do, if they want to qualify for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. This week the final sitting volleyball qualifying tournament for the Paralympic Games 2028, was announced by World Paravolley. This tournament will be held in Arnhem, the Netherlands, in early 2028.
On July 17, 2026, the finals for the 2026 World Championship Sitting Volleyball were held, so we know which first countries were qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games. In addition to these countries, the four different zones (Africa, Europe, Pan America, and Asian-Oceania) will organize their championships in 2027, and the winners of these zonal championships will also qualify directly for LA 2028. Besides the participation of the host country, the United States, the final spot for the Paralympic Games 2028 will be awarded in early 2028 to the winner of the sitting volleyball tournament in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
In the coming period, the Australian men's and women's sitting volleyball teams will need to gain more points, alongside experience, through increased participation in international tournaments in order to climb higher on the World ranking list.
